A good leather belt does more than just help hold your pants up. It is also an important accent piece that helps finish your look. When shopping for a good men's leather belt there are several factors to consider. The quality of the leather will vary from product to product. Genuine leather is the lowest grade and not likely to last as long as other leathers. For durability, you may want to consider a top grain leather, which is the highest grade available. Check the width of your belt. A dress belt will be thinner, about 1" tall, than a casual belt which may be 1.5" tall. Those taller belts are good for blue jeans but will likely not fit through the belt loops on your dress pants. Belts often run small. The wisest choice is to order 1 to 2 sizes larger than your normal waist size.
