This larger, shelf-sized one-piece audio system with speakers is available in black, blue, white, and red. The Bluetooth connection was simple and instant. The sound produced is clear and easily fills the room. Adjustable bass, mid, and treble settings provide a highly customizable listening experience. The speakers use very little power and are quite energy efficient. We loved the addition of the USB port so you can listen to music and charge your phone simultaneously. CD, radio, and AUX cord options are also available on this system.
The speakers do take up quite a bit of space – not ideal for a small area.
The clear, concise instructions makes set up a breeze. The sound clarity and quality are undeniably impressive. Bluetooth pairing presents no issues, and provides a strong, reliable connection. The speaker can also be hooked up directly to your TV to improve sound quality. You can easily transition from using the TV speaker to using the Bluetooth speaker, without ever having to disconnect anything. The included remote control was an appreciated touch.
Volume of the speaker can only be controlled by the included remote, and not by the connected device.
Sound quality is clear, and louder than expected considering the compact size. The build quality is unexpectedly strong with some good weight to the speakers. Set up took almost no time at all. Bluetooth connection is confirmed by a colored light instead of the typical loud, musical sound that plays. These speakers don't take up a lot of room, so your options for placement are vast. There is the option to plug devices in directly to the speaker through a headphone jack.
Experienced some feedback at max volume – we suggest not exceeding 85% of the max volume, for the clearest listening experience.
This tiny Yamaha speaker packs quite the punch. The bass is impressive for the size, and the volume and clarity of the sound are high quality. Bluetooth connection is stable, and connecting was relatively quick. The speaker also comes equipped with MusicCast capabilities. We found the simplistic design to be pleasing to the eye.
Some MusicCast app issues, but if you intend to use the WX-010 as a Bluetooth speaker alone, this wont effect you.
Setup of the WX-030 was relatively easy, especially if you only intend to use the Bluetooth feature. This speaker can also be setup to work over your WiFi network, which takes longer to set up. We loved being able to sync the speaker with Alexa, for voice controlled volume. The sound quality is clear and crisp. Given the price point and the size of this speaker, the bass was quite deep. The plastic exterior has the look and feel of brushed metal.
The speaker is not completely wireless, as you do need to plug it into the wall as a power source.
