Quad roller skates, like these speed skate options, are made with two wheels in the front of the skate and two wheels in the back. While they look similar, these speed skates are generally lighter and less bulky than their rental roller rink cousins. When considering speed skates for kids, pay attention to the fit (many options run very small) and the ability for the wheels to move freely. Many of these skates are not ideal for roller derby, either, so pay attention to recommendations. We advise that you purchase skates with ample padding.
