A shopping basket is a rectangular-shaped basket with sturdy handles and a hard bottom or sides designed to hold a variety of different items conveniently. Some modern shopping baskets are made with collapsible sides for easier storage when not in use. However, traditional hand held shopping baskets with a hard plastic woven design are available on the market for personal use. Shopping baskets are typically made with easily cleanable material, like plastic or cloth. A lightweight basket is a good idea, but may collapse when you use it to carry heavier items. Some baskets have longer handles which allow for a shoulder carry.
