Scissor lifts offer an easy way to lift goods or even workers. Carrying capacity is the most important consideration, with most scissor lifts handling from 800 to 5,000 lbs. A higher capacity is better, but it may not be worth the price if you don’t need the heavy-lifting capability. Maximum height is another major factor, but don’t forget to note minimum height as well. Most scissor lift tables are operated with a hydraulic foot pedal that raises and lowers the platform. Caster wheels may vary in quality, so make sure the table you select is easily maneuverable.
