A quality internet router is the key to a solid internet connection around the home or small office. You’ll need a router if you want to connect multiple computers to the same network or browse the web wirelessly. Routers can also add an additional level of security to your network. High powered internet routers can get pricey, but the good news is that you can still find a router for under $100 that delivers hassle-free internet connectivity. Single-band routers are sufficient for checking emails and creating documents. If you’ll be streaming video or playing games, you’ll want a dual-band router. Many routers are equipped with additional USB and/or ethernet ports. Extra ethernet ports work great for providing a more reliable wired connection and USB inserts can allow for necessary add-ons like printers, cameras and other wireless devices.
