Reef was started in 1984 by two brothers, Santiago and Ferdinand Aguerre, from Argentina, with the mission of creating a surf culture-based, beach-centric, party-going range of flip flops, sandals and shoes. Now run from southern California, Reef has also partnered with Surfrider to create the Better Beach Alliance to help beach clean-up programs and make good on their “Beach Freely” slogan. As you might imagine, the range of flip flops, sneakers and flats is extensive, with options in a variety of styles and colors. Some also include arch support or cushioning for a relaxed and all-day comfortable fit. Bonus: The Fanning and Stargazer X Corona flip flops also have a built-in bottle opener.
