About the product

Breville The Juice Fountain Compact Juicer Single Product Review

Is the Breville The Juice Fountain Compact Juicer worth buying?

It’s no secret that a healthy diet should include plenty of fruits and vegetables, but many people have a hard time eating as much produce as they should. Fortunately, juicing fresh fruits and veggies can provide those essential vitamins and nutrients, making it much easier to get your daily fill.

To effectively juice your produce, a manual juicer won’t cut it. Instead, you need a juicer that cuts and pulverizes your fruits and vegetables to extract as much juice as possible.

Breville The Juice Fountain Compact Juicer is a centrifugal juicer that lets you juice whole fruits and veggies quickly and easily. It's designed to reduce pulp and froth, so you can enjoy smooth, pure juice with every sip. It doesn’t take up as much space on your counter as other models, either, making it suitable for small kitchens.

Testing Breville The Juice Fountain Compact Juicer

BestReviews doesn’t accept manufacturers’ claims at face value. Instead, the Testing Lab uses unbiased testers to try products in real-world conditions to determine how well they perform and whether they live up to the marketing hype. The testers include both experts well-versed in a particular product category and everyday consumers focused on finding products that can enhance their lives.

When assessing Breville The Juice Fountain Compact Juicer, the Testing Lab focused mainly on its ease of use, required maintenance, ability to remove pulp and overall size.

What is Breville The Juice Fountain Compact Juicer?

Breville The Juice Fountain Compact Juicer’s main selling point is its compact design. The BestReviews Testing Lab found that it has a smaller footprint on a countertop than many similar juicers. It's also extremely easy to set up, taking just a few minutes to assemble.

The Breville The Juice Fountain Compact Juicer has an extra-wide chute, offering 3 additional inches compared to other Breville models. The Testing Lab found that the chute’s size eliminates some prep work because it doesn’t require chopping the produce into very small pieces. The juicer can pulverize all the fruits and vegetables inserted with little to no extra effort, and the included pusher tool helps out when greater pressure is required. The built-in filter effectively removes nearly all pulp to produce juice with a thin consistency, while the froth separator in the pitcher really sets the juicer apart from other models, keeping the foam at the pitcher’s top and out of the glass.

How to use Breville The Juice Fountain Compact Juicer

The BestReviews Testing Lab found that the Breville Juice Fountain is easy to set up, even for first-time users. To assemble the juicer, place the motor base on a flat, stable surface. Slide the integrated pulp container on top of the base, ensuring its spout fits through the hole at the front of the motor base.

Next, place the Nutri Disc so its arrows line up with the arrows on the motor drive and press down until it clicks into place. Set the juicer cover over the Nutri Disc and integrated pulp container, so its rim aligns with the small wings on the pulp container.

When the disc is in place, raise the safety arm, and lock it into the grooves on either side of the juicer cover, leaving it in a vertical position. Next, slide the food pusher down into the feed chute so its grooves line up with the small bump inside the chute. Finally, set the juice jug under the juicer’s spot, plug in the juicer and turn it on. You can then place your washed and prepared produce in the feed chute and use the pusher to slowly push on the fruits and veggies to extract as much juice as possible.

Breville The Juice Fountain Compact Juicer benefits

Breville The Juice Fountain Compact Juicer has a compact design, making it a smart buy for small kitchens. It should also fit in most kitchen cabinets if you don’t want to leave it on the counter.

However, its size doesn’t impact its performance. The BestReviews Testing Lab loves the juicer’s effectiveness in juicing produce — it creates a smooth, thinner juice that many people find preferable. The built-in filter removes nearly all of the pulp, which earns it high marks. The Testing Lab lists its froth separator as a standout feature since many other models don’t offer a similar design.

Breville The Juice Fountain Compact Juicer drawbacks

For the Testing Lab, the time it takes to clean the Breville The Juice Fountain Compact is the biggest complaint about the juicer. It has many parts, so cleaning may take longer than with other models. It includes a cleaning brush, but it can be difficult to get it down into the juice bowl, which is fairly deep and narrow. Thankfully, most components (outside of the cover and push tool) are dishwasher-safe.

The Testing Lab found that the Breville Juice Fountain Compact makes more noise when juicing than other models. This may be an issue if you usually juice in the morning when the rest of your household is asleep.

Should you get Breville The Juice Fountain Compact Juicer?

After testing the Breville The Juice Fountain Compact Juicer, the BestReviews Testing Lab believes it’s an excellent model for small kitchens and individuals who prefer a thinner juice with little to no pulp. While the cleaning process is somewhat long, it’s not much different than similar juicers on the market. The Testing Lab recommends the Breville Juice Fountain for those new to juicing and experienced juicers who want to save space in their kitchen.
