To brew coffee, add coarsely ground coffee to the brewing container and pour cold or room-temperature water around the maker’s rainmaker device. OXO recommends 10 ounces of ground coffee and 40 ounces of water to make approximately 24 ounces of coffee concentrate. Allow the mixture to brew on your counter for 12 to 24 hours. 

When brewing is complete, set the glass carafe beneath the brewing stand and flip the brew-release switch to dispense the concentrate. You can then use the carafe to serve your coffee or as a storage container in the fridge.   

To clean the coffee maker, you can wash the glass carafe in your dishwasher. However, OXO recommends washing the plastic components by hand to avoid damage.
