How to use the HP Reverb G2 VR Headset

The headset comes with an instructional packet that helps with the setup process. You must plug it into your computer with the included display port cable. The cable plugs into the inside of the headset, giving you enough room to cover it with the face shield. Ensure there’s enough slack to lift the head strap into the up position when you’re ready to remove it.

It includes the display port and USB-C cables you’ll need to plug the headset into your PC. It also comes with adapters for those who don’t have a full-size display port or USB-C port.

The box contains a separate box with unlabeled cords. Luckily, they're easy to identify. The power adapter dangles behind your head while you play. It has a loop that’s supposed to keep it in place, but it comes undone often. The dangling cable won’t prevent you from enjoying the gameplay, but the placement seems inconvenient.

The controllers feel relatively top-heavy, and the rings are large. The testing team said they’d often collide as they played. 

The head tracking can be inconsistent, and you’ll need adequate lighting for the cameras to work correctly.

Should you get the Reverb G2 VR Headset?
