A baby lounger is a large, soft pillow with an indented center to place your baby in when you need two hands for something else. It does not function well as a nursing pillow. It is, however, easily carried from room to room, especially if you purchase one with a handle. A baby lounger allows your baby to be positioned at a slight incline so she can watch you instead of the ceiling. It is not safe to use once your baby can roll – about 4 months is all you get. A baby lounger should be machine washable, easy to wipe clean, or at least have a removable cover. Some models have adjustable support straps. If you are inclined, you can find organic baby loungers too.
