With a powerful motor and numerous useful settings, the NESCO Premium is the top vacuum sealer that we tested. It offers seven settings, including proprietary LiquidLock that produces a leakproof and airtight seal for soups, sauces, meat, vegetables and more.
Another excellent choice, the Anova Pro, includes settings for precisely sealing various types of foods. It has a Pulse setting for dry foods such as breads, cookies and other snacks, and a Moist setting for sauces, soups and foods with broths or marinades.
The LKKNC is suitable for everyday sealing needs, as it seals fast and efficiently. However, we found its performance somewhat aggressive, as it may crush some delicate foods.
All three vacuum sealers are easy to operate and clean. We like that the NESCO and Anova models can be locked with one hand, and that the NESCO includes a screen that shows sealing progress and a removable drip tray for fuss-free cleaning.
While those who are new to using a vacuum sealer will appreciate the LKKNC’s digital timer and one-touch operation, latching it can be a bit challenging. However, it’s straightforward to use, right out of the box.
When it comes to durability, the NESCO Premium earns high marks. It will last for years of use thanks to the solid build. Although the Anova Pro feels lighter, it’s also durable and made to last. If you want a sealer for occasional use or to give this type of product a try for the first time, the LKKNC is worth considering. However, keep in mind that it’s made of plastic and isn’t built for heavy-duty or frequent use.
The NESCO Premium is a sound investment for the money, as it is a professional-level sealer with a comprehensive starter kit. It costs around $240.
At around $150, the Anova Pro is dependable, feature-packed and available at a reasonable price.
