It has a snug-fit seat base, adjustable tilt and recline and customizable armrests. The chair is available in different color schemes, ranging from all-black and royal blue to e-sports team colors and popular video games such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Mortal Kombat.

The Omega 2020 is available on the Secretlab website for $499 when selecting the Prime 2.0 leather. The SoftWeave fabric adds another $40 to the price, and choosing an e-sports or special edition color scheme pushes the price to $525. A chair with the most expensive napa leather upholstery costs $849.  

How to use the Secretlab Omega 2020 Gaming Chair

The gaming chair functions similarly to others, consisting of a foam backing and seat area, height-adjustable base and armrests and five roller wheels for mobility. A lever on the side engages the tilting action, and buttons on the armrests allow them to move forward, back or swivel to the side.

The testing team was surprised at how heavy the package was. The chair came in several pieces, but the instructions were simple to follow, and assembling it took about 90 minutes. There are height adjustments that are easy to use to elevate or lower the chair, depending on the height of your desk. 

Each armrest has adjustability options to swivel the rests in at an angle for comfort, and they are firm but comfortable. They seem more durable than the arms of office chairs you typically see made out of a sponge-like material.

The back of the chair reclines far enough for the chair to lean fully without the feeling that the chair will fall over, but there's also a lever you can pull that makes the chair recline horizontally if you want. These features lock if you’d like the chair to remain in place.

In terms of support, the testing team notes that it's sturdy and well-designed. This is not a soft chair that you sink into, and you can tell when you sit down that there’s a robust structure behind it. While it's comfortable, the testing lab feels that it’s more supportive.

The upholstery quality is also excellent. The knit fabric is tight all along each feature of the chair, from the back to its sides. The stitching is consistent, and the fabric feels strong. Any spills are easily cleaned up.

The memory foam pillows were the favorite parts of this chair — especially the back pillow. It’s fully separate from the chair, allowing you to adjust and move it wherever you want as you sit.

Secretlab Omega 2020 Gaming Chair drawbacks

This is an attractive and high-quality chair, especially when working from home and staying seated for several hours at a time. While it’s not as soft as you might expect, sitting for long periods does feel more comfortable in this chair than others.

The price is higher than what most people would typically spend on an office chair, but considering how much time you can spend at a desk, it’s worth it.

If you're looking for a great-quality gaming chair, the Secretlab Omega 2020 Gaming Chair definitely fits the bill. The foam is soft but provides enough support to prevent backache, and the faux leather covering is durable.

It might not be the most affordable gaming chair on the market, but it won’t deteriorate nearly as quickly as cheaper models. It’s extremely comfortable, which is the most significant aspect of any chair, whether for gaming, office work or just relaxing in front of the computer monitor.
