Caroline Bell opened Cafe Grumpy in 2005 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. For 17 years Bell has forged relationships with coffee farmers who provide her the beans that create the iconic Grumpy blends. Bell has personally visited the farms that produce her beans, and she can often be found in the shop with her team. This incredibly hands-on approach, and Bell’s personal connections have contributed to her success and the expansion of Cafe Grumpy which has grown to 12 locations in NYC and one in Miami.
