Medicube's coveted anti-aging device is 32% off for Amazon's Big Spring Sale

Medicube’s celeb-favorite viral anti-aging device is 32% off today

Medicube is a trusted brand in Korean skincare that sells hundreds of thousands of products a month on Amazon alone — and for luxury skincare that works, their products are actually affordable. The cult-favorite Zero Pore Pads are less than $20 for 70 pads, for example. I'd spent years buying Dr. Dennis Gross' similar product and was thrilled to find a cheaper option that exfoliated my skin without drying it out. We're in the last days of Amazon's Big Spring Sale, and Medicube's Age R Booster Pro device is a rare 32% off.  As someone who has been using the device for months, I fully endorse this buy.

As a woman in my fifties, I've been trying skincare products for literally decades. I'm leading with that because if you're a woman past her thirties or forties, you may have noticed skincare influencers are leaning younger and younger every year. I don't personally love taking skincare advice from someone 20 to 30 years younger than me, because just because it works for their youthful, collagen-infused skin, doesn't mean it's going to work for mine. So, for some background, I'm an early-fifties Gen X woman who spent her youth basking in the sun with no sunscreen. I have been caring for my skin quite extensively since my thirties, but mostly with Sephora-level skincare products and maybe a professional facial every few years.

The dermatological concerns I was hoping this device would address are some increasingly loose-and-succumbing-to-gravity skin around my jowl area and some visible broken blood vessels, likely from too much sun exposure in my earlier years.

Medicube Age-R Booster Pro 32% OFF

What is the Medicube Age-R Booster Pro and how does it work?

After a month of almost-daily use, the elasticity of my skin improved and the appearance of my pores definitely minimized. This alone was pretty impressive, because although I have never been breakout-prone, large pores have always been a dermatological issue for me. It's also really easy to use, and can be easily worked into your morning or evening skin routine. The brand recommends using it several times a day, but even if you're someone who knows they can't commit to that type of frequency, I can confirm that using it once a day has given me noticeable results. Yes, this celeb-favorite is worth buying — especially now at a rare 32% off

The device uses four modes — each performs a little differently.

Airshot mode (use two to three times/week)

This is the one mode Medicube suggests you only use three times a week, rather than daily. It uses what the company calls "electric-needle technology" to create microchannels in the skin that help your skin absorb products. It uses an LED blue light designed to reduce bacteria. This mode should be used on clean, dry skin before applying any product. The initial feeling was a little shocking — literally. It really does feel like little pinpricks going into your skin. After about three months of use, I've still only used it on level two. It does go up to level five. If you have any peach fuzz, you may detect a burning smell, because apparently, it actually burns that off. This is the only mode that you use without touching the skin — Medicube recommends you hold it just above the skin's surface and move it over the skin in a brushing motion.

Booster mode (use daily)

This mode uses a process called electroporation. Gentle, electric pulses create temporary "nanopores" in the skin that allow cell membranes to temporarily open and allow skincare products to better absorb. Recommended frequency is one to three times a day for five to 10 minutes. I've used it once daily for two minutes, and my skin feels softer and like it's drinking in products. Use this with your serum of choice. I use Laneige Bouncy and Firm Serum.

Microcurrent mode (use daily)

This mode uses microcurrents to help stimulate collagen production. Use by starting at the inside of the face, and working the device upward, toward the edges of your face. Medicube recommends using this one to three times daily for five to 10 minutes, but honestly, who has time for that? I've been using it for two minutes per day, and my skin feels and looks refreshed. I use this with Dr. Reju-All PDRN Rejuvenating Cream, and it's currently 54% off for Amazon's Big Spring Sale.

Dermashot mode (use daily)

This mode uses mid-frequency EMS (electrical muscle stimulation) to stimulate sagging facial muscles that have lost elasticity, with the goal of creating a firmer face, I guess? For this mode, you stop in areas of the face that you think could use some love (and lift) and hold the device there for a few seconds before moving it to another location on the skin. I apply my daily facial cream here, currently Abib's PDRN Intensive Cream, which is currently 50% off!
