The best tech deals to shop before the Super Bowl arrives

Samsung/Roku/Amazon

Upgrade your gear before the big game

The most important game on the football calendar is almost upon us, so you must ensure that you have everything ready before the starting whistle blows on Feb.11. We’re not talking about snacks and drinks, but something far more important: the ability to watch the game on a great TV, such as the Amazon Fire 50-inch 4K TV

You must make sure that your Bluetooth speakers are fully charged (if you don't have some, the Marshall Stanmore II is a great option), guests are invited, and you go through your Super Bowl party checklist beforehand to ensure that nothing goes wrong. However, if you don’t have everything you need, there are still a few days to shop for the best tech deals before the Super Bowl arrives.

The 58th NFL Super Bowl

As you probably know, the Super Bowl is an annual championship game of the National Football League (NFL) and is considered to be one of the most iconic sporting events in the U.S.

The winners of the NFL's two conferences (the National Football Conference and the American Football Conference) compete against each other. The event is well-known for its halftime show, extravagant commercials and, of course, the culmination of the football season.

It draws millions of viewers worldwide and it’s estimated that last year’s game garnered over 110 million viewers. For this year’s matchup, the Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Fransisco 49ers in Las Vegas, Nevada and entertainment will be provided by Usher and Post Malone, among others.

But none of that will matter if you don’t have the right tech and gadgets to watch the pregame festivities, the action on the field, the halftime show or the celebrations afterward. While there isn’t a lot of time left to ensure you have everything, we do have a few suggestions on tech deals that will make the day unforgettable, whether your chosen team wins or not.

Best tech deals for the Super Bowl

Samsung 65-inch S90C OLED 4K Smart TV

If you can’t have the best seat in the stadium, there is no better way to catch an in-depth view of the action than with this mammoth 65-inch, 4K-resolution OLED smart TV. Using Samsung’s LaserSlim design, it takes up less space, and the Dolby Atmos with Object Tracking Sound Lite puts you in the middle of every huddle, snap and pass.

Samsung 65-inch Q80C QLED 4K Smart TV

Using QLEDs for the display technology, the visuals of the big game are crystal clear. In addition, it uses Quantum HDR+ and Direct Full Array technology to ensure vivid colors and tone-accurate hues. But the 4K visuals aren’t the only tech for a great Super Bowl experience. It also includes Dolby Atmos, Object Tracking Sound and Motion Xcelerator Turbo+ to reduce motion blur.

Happrun 4K Projector with Screen

When friends come over, you need to ensure that everyone can see the game. That’s where a projector, such as this one, comes in extremely handy. Supporting up to 4K resolution and built-in speakers, this projector displays an image up to 200 inches and comes with a 100-inch projector screen. It also has Bluetooth if you want to connect wireless speakers.

Samsung 3.1ch Soundbar with Dolby 5.1

A sound setup can make a huge difference when you are watching a football game. The commentary is crucial in understanding the action, and this soundbar is the perfect gadget. It has three channels (left, right and center and a subwoofer) and comes with Adaptive Sound Lite, which optimizes audio for enhanced voice clarity. Additionally, you can connect up to two Bluetooth devices to the soundbar at the same time.

JBL Xtreme 2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker

Going to watch the game at a friend’s house with notoriously bad sound? Be prepared with this Bluetooth speaker that’s loud enough for everyone to hear clearly. The rechargeable battery lasts about 15 hours, perfect for the Super Bowl, and it produces 40-watt RMS system power. While it won’t make the ground shake with every touchdown, you definitely hear all the commentary.

Sony Core Series 5-Inch 3-Way Bookshelf Speakers

Bluetooth speakers could work well at the moment, but if you want a more permanent solution for excellent audio, these bookshelf speakers are a great choice. With a peak output of 100 watts, each speaker has a 5-inch subwoofer, a quarter-inch wide-dispersion super tweeter and a 1-inch high-frequency tweeter. This gives you a wider range of sounds while maintaining quality.

Roku Express Streaming Box

Not all cable packages have the Super Bowl available for viewing, so getting a streaming box like this Roku device is a great option. Supporting up to 4K resolution and HDR, it connects to your TV through the included HDMI cable. The streaming box gives you access to a host of services, such as Peacock, Netflix, HBO Max, Apple TV and Disney+. The included remote is easy to operate and is also voice-activated.

Amazon Fire 50-Inch 4K TV

Just in time for the Super Bowl, this 50-inch smart TV from Amazon is on a 33% off limited-time deal. In addition to the 4K resolution, it also supports HDR 10 (with HGL), Dolby Digital Plus and Amazon’s Alexa virtual assistant. When you buy it now, you’ll also get a six-month subscription to MGM+.

Amazon Soundbar

This soundbar is the perfect companion to your Amazon Fire smart TV. Also on a limited-time deal of 17% off, it is 24 inches long and only 2.5 inches tall, fitting in perfectly under the TV’s bezel. It pairs wirelessly with any Bluetooth device and has two speakers that are DTS Virtual: X-compatible for three-dimensional virtual audio.
