If you thought Converse shoes hit their all-star prime in the 80s, you haven’t scoped out the line of these classic canvas sneakers. In fact, they go well beyond the high-tops you might remember from decades ago. It’s safe to say that Converse shoes, or “Chuck Taylors”, will remain in style – and faithful owners often have the same shoe in several colors. While either low-, mid- or high-top canvas is the most popular, recognizable style, you can also opt for all-black leather and other more dressy pairs. And while lacing them up is traditional, you can wear them without for an easy slip-on shoe. Prices range widely by style, with the classics around $50 and more specialized shoes can cost up to $200.
