A good quality grill gazebo can become a permanent backyard structure mounted into a concrete pad. The less expensive grill gazebos are portable and can be taken down and stored in the winter. A grill gazebo has a covered awning or roof designed to allow you to grill in any weather, and can also offer some sun protection. They have a double roof designed to let smoke escape, but still keep you dry and in the shade. Watch for how well these gazebos will hold up in the wind. A poor design can make it topple over easily. They are not large, only being designed for a grill and the person who is grilling to be able to stand comfortably beneath it. Some grill gazebos include side shelves, which help them double as an outdoor bar. The canvass-topped gazebos are effective, but those with a sturdier roof material are likely to last longer.
